All the members of the Trinamool Congress party have expressed their grief on the sad news. He was a really well-known politician and he won the Member of Legislative Assembly election five times from the North Calcutta constituency. Mamta Banerjee has expressed her grief for her colleague on Twitter and commented on him as a very helpful guy. Reportedly, he was suffering from kidney problems, and later he was shifted to a hospital in Mumbai from Kolkata. His condition was really critical and then he sadly passed away and the doctors could not save him.

He was a previous member of the Indian National Congress, but then he switched to the All India treadmill Congress in the year 1999. And he stayed loyal to the party for more than 23 years old. He studied at the University of Calcutta, which is a very highly reputed institution. He had contributed to a lot of development in his region and always tried to make everything right. He did several protests against the controversies of farmers and wanted everybody to have equal rights.
