As per the reports, Mike passed away while he was at his house on the 25th of October 222 and he was 76 at the time of his death. He was surrounded by his loved ones when he passed away. Mike suffered oesophagal cancer when he was alive and he came through a long battle with the disease and that is the reason behind his death. Apart from being a writer, Mike was also an American political activist, historian, and urban theorist, He was known for his investigations of power and social class as well which included works like the City of Quartz and Late Victorian Holocausts. He also wrote a book called Set the night on fire which was fictional.

Mike was born on the 10th of March 1946 in Fontana, California, USA. He had his education at Reed College and earned MA and BA degrees as well. Although Mike wanted to pursue PhD he did not complete his education. He began his career in 1996 after he initiated his work as a scholar, He won the Lannan literary award for nonfictional books in 2007. He worked as a professor at the University of California and was added to the New Leff review. Before he went on to become a professor, Mike gave out the monthly socialist review and various other projects as well. He wrote on various genres including socialism, architecture and regionalism as well.

The two of them shared two children who are twins named James and Cassandra Davis. The family also includes Jack and Raisan Davis who are Mikes’s’s children from his previous marriages. While the parents lived with their children under one roof. The family was by Mike’s side when she passed away.
