The police later found that the actor revealed the identity of the accused woman and also was missing from his place. Police are suspecting that he is hiding from the police and getting involved in the case. Police officers from the Kozhikode said that the actor has three charges upon him for sexual abuse, but now he will be accused and 2 more charges will be put on him for revealing the identity of the accused and then hiding from the police. The police said that the woman was abused sexually several times by the actor and was raped when she said no to him. They said that the actor made fake promises to give her roles in his movies.

The actor said that the woman and he knew each other since 2018 and the woman used to send him messages asking for his help. He said that the woman said that she was facing depression and wanted to be in the industry. He also said that he has not seen the woman for more than one year and that he has screenshots of every message that she sent to him. He said openly that he would defame the woman actor and that he will charge and file a complaint against her. The actor also is the founder of the production house Friday Film house and has a bunch of movies under his production name.

Police officials said that this is not the only case in the Malayalam industry there are many cases being registered lately. They said that the police had arrested filmmaker Liju Krishna last month for sexually abusing and harassing a woman. Therefore the court has passed a request to launch a team for every film production and were cases like these can be handled and taken care of. The request also said that there should be a special branch that can handle these kinds of situations. Currently, there is no such thing as a special team but the government is said to be taking this under consideration.
